My sannerud.com domain hosting account with AIT gives me some space which I used to create this Sannerud family web site. My old Sannerud family web site on Mindspring (Earthlink) is gone now, because I no longer use Earthlink. Verizon FiOS finally became available in my area in 2005 and I signed up immediately. It's blazingly fast!
These pages are developed with Microsoft FrontPage. I use Adobe Photoshop to edit and resize the pictures and save them in compressed jpeg format which load fairly quickly. I try to keep the images sized to no larger than 1024x768 and about 80k to100k in size and the thumbnails at 320x240 and 20k or less. The resolution suffers a bit, but it seems to be a nice compromise for faster page loading.
